Our Vision

To enhance the overall health and well-being of every individual we work with

Hi, I’m Lena, an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist and founder of Tailored Dietetics.

I’m nearly 42, no kids, only the furry kind, engaged to a FIFO turned helicopter pilot, and together we have reshaped our lives to reflect what matters most.

Movement, meaning, freedom, adventure and well-being.

At 35, I stepped away from a 15-year career and a successful real estate business that I’d built from the ground up.  I was exhausted, stressed, and slowly disconnecting from the person I used to be, and who I wanted to become. So, we bought a caravan, packed up the house, the dog, the bikes, and travelled Australia.

Like many women, I was navigating energy dips, stress, gut changes and hormonal shifts. ,

When the pandemic hit, we landed back in QLD, and in the middle of the chaos, I made the decision to start a university degree that would see me graduate after 40

In the past year. I created Tailored Dietetics, an online practice designed to fit into our lives, not the other way around.

Why? Because health isn’t about pushing harder, it’s about gaining clarity, consistency and making choices that support who you want to become.

Now, I guide women who feel “not quite themselves”, tired, bloated, stressed or shifting hormonally to reconnect with their energy, confidence and health through simple, realistic nutrition strategies.

My approach translates evidence-based nutrition into practical, individualised strategies.

I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a Bachelor of Dietetics (Honours) and additional qualifications in fitness, holding a Certificate III & IV in Fitness. I’ve also been trained in the use of a low FODMAP diet for IBS through Monash University. While I don’t offer fitness services, this background enhances my holistic, lifestyle-based approach to women’s health, especially where nutrition, digestion, and movement intersect.

My goal is simple: to help you feel strong, confident, and empowered every step of the way.

  • FUN FACTS ABOUT LENA

We’re all into different things, and that’s what makes each of us unique! Here are 5 fun facts about me to give you a little glimpse behind the scenes.

  • 1. Doggy Mumma

I’m a dog mum to two cheeky (and totally inseparable) Border Collies, Thor and Loki, who are actually maternal brothers and my daily dose of joy. Loki is the sassy show-off who lives for snacks and attention, while Thor is my calm, loyal boy who I swear dreams of herding sheep one day.

  • 2. Enduro Motorbike Enthusiast

I’ve been riding motorbikes for over 10 years, moving from road bikes to track, then adventure riding, and now hooked on enduro!

  • 3. Board Game Enthusiast

I love a good strategy board game! From Catan to Twilight Imperium, I’m always up for a challenge, yep, nerdy, I know, but it’s serious fun! The only problem is, I struggle to find time for it all!

  • 4. Traveller at Heart

We spent two years travelling around Australia, finding inspiration in rugged trails and quiet moments under the stars… and there’s more to come. Work, adventure, and lifestyle.

Let’s just say, the journey’s far from over. Stay tuned!

  • 5. Mountain Biking Enthusiasts

While travelling Australia in 2019, we spent most days training for the Cape to Cape | 4 stage MTB Stage Race. The race is located in the Margaret River, in Western Australia and is roughly 200km and 2,500m of climbing in total. Each day’s riding is between 34km and 59km. It was certainly challenging, and the training before hand seen us riding in some amazing places.

  • MY STORY

We all have our story to tell, each unique to ourselves. Here is a little insight into mine.

  • Real Estate

From my late teens, I knew I wanted to own my own business, which led me to pursue a career in real estate, by age 27, I achieved that goal.

15 years I had been in the industry, including seven years operating my own successful real estate business in Brisbane

  • Travelling Australia

While real estate was fast-paced and rewarding, by the end of 2018, I realised it was time to pursue a new directionThough I did not know what at the time! In 2019, my fiancé and our little dog travelled Australia. An experience that allowed adventure, movement and freedom.

  • Health Journey

My personal health journey began with mild symptoms of indigestion, bloating, and fatigue. Before long, these symptoms escalated, leading to digestive issues, itchy eyes, joint aches, mood swings, irregular periods, and sleep disturbances. At the time, I didn’t realise these seemingly separate symptoms might be connected to perimenopause.

  • Looking for Answers

In late 2019, driven by the need for clarity, I sought help from a dietitian to assist in the treatment of low iron and B12. Over the following years, I underwent various tests and biopsies. Although I wasn't officially diagnosed with Coeliac disease due to my inability to complete the gluten challenge, I now lead a gluten-free diet with the occasional sourdough. In addition, hormone tests and trips to the gynecologist had shed light on unanswered questions and symptoms

  • The Spark

Looking back to my early 20’s, I have always wanted to be a life coach, and had this vision, to help people from a mind, body and spirit perspective. Hence, earlier certifications in fitness and my array of personal interest studies over the years.

Therefore, studying nutrition felt like a natural progression for me, to continue fueling my passion for understanding the mind and body and how lifestyle and diet influence our health as we age.

  • Career Change

That spark has led me to where I am today, a qualified, accredited, practising Dietitian and Nutritionist, and founder of Tailored Dietetics, an online practice designed to fit into our lives, not the other way around.

  • My Rock

Throughout all this… A huge part of my journey has been my incredible partner and fiancé, Ben, who’s been my unwavering rock through it all.

Since we met, we’ve shared a high-paced, adventure-filled romance that’s been nothing short of a fairytale. Always supportive and encouraging me to dream big and take bold steps. Life with him is never boring.
